John was raised in the Bay Area and now lives in San Diego, where he attended San Diego State University. He enjoys music, meaningful conversations, nature, and sports. After majoring in Statistics, he began his career by creating a network of college-level tutors, which sparked his passion for teaching and mentoring. Following the pandemic, John transitioned into accounting and investment-related work, but creative writing has always remained his greatest passion. He uses writing both as self-expression and as a way to explore emotional health.

With a professional understanding of mental health, John is dedicated to helping children recognize and normalize the feelings they often keep inside. John credits his love of learning and academics to his 6th-grade teacher, Mrs. Reynolds, his kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Waring, his history teacher, Mrs. Turpin, and his statistics teacher, Mrs. Quan. He also acknowledges Dr. Bishoy Michael and Dr. Eisenstadt for shaping his understanding of mental health.
